Ok, you are right, it was an oversight when porting to
2.3. I have special treatment for slp_transfer.c, since
I need so set some additional flags.
Unfortunally, they invented a new flag variable for
Python that simplifies all the build instructions
slightly. I didn't recognize, and so I wass missing
yet another option which was in the new variable.

So the patch was actually almost nothing, although
it took hours to find out.

Still using --without-thread
but I don't know if it works without this option,
too. My laptop is soooo slow...
