[Stackless] Self-built Python: up key gives "^[[A"

 Hi to all,
I synced Stackless 2.5 release svn, and built it with the following command:
./configure --prefix=/usr --enable-ipv6 --with-signal-module
--with-doc-strings --with-pymalloc --with-pth; make; sudo make install
 My problem is that pressing up, down, home, delete gives character
like ^[[A, ^[[B, ^[OH, ^[[3~, and doesn't do the proper action. This
is really frustrating to me. Someone can point me to a guide to get it
straight? Searching google for things like "^[[A" gives me no fruit =\

 This is my Ubuntu 6.10 box:
$ uname -a
Linux ivkc 2.6.17-10-386 #2 Tue Dec 5 22:26:18 UTC 2006 i686 GNU/Linux
$ python2.5
Python 2.5 Stackless 3.1b3 060516 (release25-maint:53047, Dec 18 2006,
17:27:59)
[GCC 4.1.2 20060928 (prerelease) (Ubuntu 4.1.1-13ubuntu5)] on linux2

Thanks in advance,
Hieu
