[Stackless] python24.dll.zip corrupt format?

Actually, I have only had this problem with this particular package. It makes me wonder if the network card on the server "serving" the file is not very good.

I ran into the same problem. Instead of saving it I decided to select open. This opened the extract file. Then I extracted the tar to my local drive. It seems to be an issue with gzip claiming the file is corrupt when you try to access the tar from a command line.

Perhaps there is some sort of proxy that the Windows computers
on your network are going through, which the Linux box is not?
While I don't pay much attention to the issues we have with people
downloading our client, I think I recall this occasionally
happening (some proxy along the way has gotten a corrupt file
and is passing it on).

I have downloaded it from two different Windows computers
on different networks without a problem.

Richard.

Ok, I've found the windows binary "python24.dll.zip" downloads consistently
corrupt from two different windows machines, but downloads correctly from a
linux box. I don't want to start a microsoft/linux holy war, but does anyone
have an idea why I would see such a result? All of these machines are behind
the same network routers and firewalls.
